Cookie policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are files that store and retrieve information about the user’s browsing habits. The information obtained relates to, for example, the number of new users, the frequency and recurrence of visits, how long the visit lasts, the browser or device from which the visit is made or the application is run.

2. The cookies we use

The following cookies may be used:

a) Based on the entity managing them:

First-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal device from a device or domain managed by the editor itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided.

Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal device from a device or domain not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

b) Based on their purpose:

Strictly necessary cookies: These are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled in the editor’s systems. They are usually set up to respond to actions performed by the user to receive services, such as adjusting their privacy preferences, logging in to the site, or filling out forms. The user can configure their browser to block or alert the presence of these cookies, but some parts of the website will not work.

Performance cookies: These allow counting visits and traffic sources in order to measure and improve the performance of the website. They help the editor to know which pages are the most and least popular and to see how many people visit the site. All the information collected by these cookies is aggregated and, therefore, anonymous. If the user does not allow these cookies, we will not know when they visited the website.

Functionality cookies: These allow the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by the editor or by third parties whose services have been added to the website. If the user does not allow these cookies, some services will not work properly.

Targeting cookies: These are cookies that may be present throughout the website and are placed by third parties who may use them to build a profile of the user’s interests and show them relevant ads on other sites. They do not store personal information directly, but rely on uniquely identifying the user’s browser and internet access device. If the user does not allow these cookies, they will experience less targeted advertising.

Behavioural advertising cookies: These store information on user behaviour obtained through the ongoing observation of browsing habits, which allows a specific profile to be developed in order to show advertising based on it.

Social media cookies: These are set by a number of social media services added to the website to enable the user to share content with their friends and networks. These cookies can track the browser across other sites and build a profile of the user’s interests. This may modify the content and messages the user encounters on other websites they visit. If the user does not allow these cookies, they will not be able to see or use these sharing tools.

c) Based on the period of time they remain active:

Session cookies: These are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses the website. They are usually used to store information that is only of interest to retain for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion (for example, a list of purchased products) and they disappear when the session ends.

Persistent cookies: These are cookies in which the data continues to be stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed during a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

The cookies used by BeCasa are the following:

Cookie list

A cookie is a small piece of data (text files) that a website, when visited by a user, asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference or your login information. These cookies are set by us, and they are called first-party cookies. We also use third-party cookies (which are cookies from a domain different from the domain of the website you are visiting) for our advertising and marketing research. Specifically, we use cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:

Performance cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources to measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and see how many people visit the site. All the information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you visited our site, and therefore we will not be able to know when you visited.
